Privacy at Billpod
Photos and avatars
You can give each person and pet in your household an avatar. Pick one from Billpod's gallery, or make one from a photo. Making one from a photo works for adults, children and pets.
When you choose a photo, Billpod sends it to Google's Gemini API, which draws three clay portraits of it. Billpod never stores the photo: not in its database, not in its file storage and not in its logs.
Google keeps API requests for a limited time, only to detect and prevent abuse, and does not use them to improve its products. For a child, a parent should choose the photo.
Billpod keeps only the portrait you pick, with that person in your household, and deletes the other two. "Use initial instead" deletes the portrait. When your household is deleted, its portraits are deleted with it.
